Project Brief
“Cafe Pinniped” is a fictitious cafe located in Londsdale Quay in Vancouver. Their key visual is an illustrated cute seal. The store provides a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that attracts young females/kids (+ parents). Customers are welcome to stay for a This project aims to create a brand guide including logo, colours, font, and business stationeries. Environmental design and several collateral items were also added to showcase their strong and iconic branding.
Design Process
By starting with sketching, I developed the basic visual theme which is cute and funny seals rather than a realistic illustration style that I'm more familiar with. As I drew seals in different poses and angles, I decided to make a pattern and apply it to their collateral items (cup. tote bag, coffee package and so on).
