Project Brief
Dressiere is a handcraft supply store located in Downtown Vancouver. They have been opening the retail store since 1963, displaying Vancouver's largest collection of textiles. To make their brand more solid and unique to differentiate from competitors, re-design the overall brand guide and web applications were made.
Brainstorming
Logo design took the longest throughout this project. In my first sketch, there are many sewing scissors that I was about to choose but considering a clean and simple silhouette, I decided to go for using letters rather than an object.
Design Solution
For the logo, I made the capital letter D in a calligraphic form in vector art. For the following letters, I chose Cormorant Garamond to match the elegant shape yet keep the legibility. The colour palette shows a gentle, warm, and cozy theme since  I chose clean sans-serif font to make it more contemporary and clean. All other brand's visuals follow the new guide.
Web Design
Following the brand guide, their new web page showcases clean and more contemporary visuals. Viewers are able to reach out to the content that they want to access without scrolling a lot.
Advertisements
Their advertisements will appear in 3 different formats—printed posters on the store windows, web ads, and Instagram.
Other Items
The store paper bag and gift card show consistent and elegant visuals following the branding.
